Heather, RD, MHA, has recently completed a research study about weight stigma within the health system and how dieticians can advocate for the reduction of this harmful stigma.
Many people living with mental health challenges, Laurie included, have experienced discrimination due to their size when trying to access care. Heather shares tips for both providers and clients on how they can dismantle weight stigma within the system and advocate for the healthcare we all deserve regardless of size.
